Newly promoted Fulham are the latest side to be interested in Tottenham’s Sergio Reguilon, with the Cottagers exploring the possibility of loaning the Spanish defender out.

Reguilon has been deemed surplus to requirements by Spurs boss Antonio Conte (Football.London) and the North London club have spent the summer trying to offload the 25-year-old without success.

Reports suggest Tottenham Hotspur have become frustrated with the ongoing saga surrounding some of their exits (The daily mail), while Reguilon has also recently been injured, which could also delay any potential moves (The daily mail).

While much of the interest in Reguilon has come from overseas this summer, with Italian teams in Atlanta (Bergamo Corriere) and Lazio (CalcioMercato) recently linked, speculation is mounting that the Spanish star could stay in England.

Nottingham Forest have reportedly eyed Reguilon as they continue their busy summer of transfer deals (Athleticism), but on the last episode of the Here We Go podcast (08/23/22)Fabrizio Romano claimed the player had ‘different priorities’.

Now it could be Fulham, another Premier League new boy, who are pursuing a move for the Spurs outcast. According The sun journalist Tom Barclay, the West London outfit are ready to challenge Lazio for the services of Reguilon.

After failing to secure a permanent transfer for Reguilon, Spurs seem resigned to sending him out on loan. Lazio are believed to be considering a loan with an option to buy, and Fulham are believed to be considering a similar deal.

Reguilon made 67 appearances for Spurs and scored two goals during his time in north London (transfer market). He has fallen out of favor since Conte’s arrival, for his apparent inability to adapt to the Italian’s style of play.

Boosts web opinion

Reguilon is now one of the last players to leave Spurs since Giovani Lo Celso and Tanguy Ndombele secured loans from the club.

With Tottenham keen to generate revenue through the sale of players, getting these fringe players out of the squad is crucial as the transfer deadline approaches.

We hope a deal can be agreed as soon as possible so the club can focus on bringing in one or two new signings before the window closes.
