MacDonald took a hit in the clash with Inverness last week and is doubtful for the game with Arbroath this weekend.

The Gers B stopper represented Scotland U21 and is a valuable substitute for the weekend.

Rovers thanked Rangers for helping to complete the deal.

In a statement, they said: “With Jamie MacDonald taking a hit last weekend against Inverness CT, Raith Rovers have been cleared on an emergency 7-day loan from Rangers FC for the goalkeeper. Lewis Budinauckas.

“Lewis also represented Scotland U21 against Turkey last September.

“We would like to extend our thanks to everyone at Rangers FC for their help in completing this loan.

“Welcome aboard Lewis!” »

Meanwhile, Ryan Kent ‘is not one of the English Premier League’s top 10 players’ – and Gabby Agbonlahor has urged Steven Gerrard NOT to sign him.

The Rangers star has looked back to his best since Giovanni van Bronckhorst took over as manager.

Kent has already attracted interest from southern clubs and has just one year left on his contract with the Light Blues.

However, Aston Villa hero Agbonlahor doesn’t think the winger can’t reach Premier League top 10 level.

Talk to Football InsiderAgbonlahor said: “Ryan Kent, I consider him a quality player.

“But I’m looking at him and which Premier League club would he go to?

“You’re looking at the bottom half of the table for Ryan Kent. He’s not in the top 10 players.

“He’s not someone Steven Gerrard would sign with the players Aston Villa could choose from around the world.

“Yes, he probably wants to test himself in the Premier League but I don’t know which club would suit him.”
