Emergency services workshop planned | News, Sports, Jobs

HUNTINGDON – Senator Judy Ward, R-Blair, will lead an emergency services workshop at 6 p.m. on Thursday June 9 at No. 10 Smithfield Fire Company, 10 Firehouse Lane, Huntingdon, to provide legislative updates, share information on funding resources and discuss current issues facing first responders.

The event is free and firefighters, police, paramedics and emergency management personnel are encouraged to attend.

June 1.

Representatives from the Senate Veterans Affairs and Emergency Preparedness Committee and the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency will discuss policy recommendations from the 2017 Senate Resolution 6, as well as other relevant legislative developments.

Fundraising experts will share information on federal, state and private foundation resources specific to first responder needs. Each workshop participant will receive a Funding Resources Reference Manual that contains a complete list of grant and loan programs with contact information for each.
