CROOKSTON CITY COUNCIL TO MEET MONDAY TO DISCUSS EMERGENCY ORDINANCE FOR SALE OF HEMP THC PRIVATE FOODS AND BEVERAGES
Crookston City Council will meet Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall.
The consent agenda will include the approval of City Council at its July 25 meeting and the approval of invoices and disbursements from the Town of Crookston in the amount of $409,609.98. It will also include the approval of the bullock cart dances located in the downtown plaza and the display of fireworks. It will also include the approval of an anonymous donation for Night to Unite. Consent agenda will also include approval of final partial payment estimate #4 for 2021 local-funded street improvements and a dance permit for a downtown development partnership event of Crookston on Tuesday August 30 and the approval of the distribution of intoxicating alcohol on site at a community event. also on August 30. It will also include approval of the Crookston Housing & Economic Development Authority (CHEDA) agenda for their meetings on Tuesday August 9 and Monday August 22. The final items on the consent agenda will be to approve a resolution declaring public works, police department equipment and vehicles as surplus property, and to approve the Golden Link dance permit for Wednesday, August 17.
The regular agenda will include a resolution to approve Sports Bar & Grill and the Irishman Shanty’s plan to distribute alcoholic beverages off premises at a community festival. It will also include a resolution to approve a rehabilitation loan program, a deferred loan repayment agreement and a mortgage on the property owned by Richard and Teresa Genereux. The last item on the agenda will be to approve an emergency ordinance regarding the sale of hemp-derived THC foods and beverages.
The Crookston Ways and Means Committee will then meet after the council meeting to discuss Crookston Airport’s budget, the official building department and the information technology department.
The next City Council meeting will be Monday, August 22 at 7:00 p.m. inside the Council Chambers at City Hall.
